Speedy fleet expansion

Speedy generators

Company’s UK power division invests £7 million in expanding its fleet of generators

SPEEDY, the leading UK provider of rental equipment and support services, have increased their power provision with a further thirty seven 1,260kVA units added to their fleet.

The £7 million investment will bring continued stability and reassurances for facilities managers and confirm Speedy’s generator supply as one of the most modern and efficient in the UK.

Brian Cornett, managing director of Speedy’s power division, said: ‘We recognized a gap in the market and a growing demand by our customers that we had previously been unable to meet, which is why we have invested considerably in this new fleet.

‘As part of our continual product improvement, innovation and investment programme, the new fleet now puts us in a leading position to provide power for mains failure, peak lopping, grid support and temporary back-up on sites.

‘The flexibility of the new units means that we can offer our clients additional power where the mains cannot fulfil their requirements during periods of peak demand.’

Speedy are also able to offer a bespoke project-managed turnkey solution that includes cabling, step-up transformers, installation and connection, as well as a premium back-up service.

The power units are all housed within 20ft ISO containers and can automatically start and stop at required times, allowing customers to cut down on manpower and fuel costs.

‘With the rapidly growing need for power and peak seasonal demands, a MW solution to supplement the local grid can be taken care of exclusively by us, and now that we have a full fleet behind us, our customers will soon be able to reap the rewards of temporary large-scale power,’ said Mr Cornett.
