Company opens German office to develop new business opportunities 

Webtec, specialist manufacturers of hydraulic measurement and control products have announced the formation of Webtec (Europe) GmbH, a new company located in Leverkusen, near Düsseldorf in Germany. The strategic focus of the new company is to help improve the productivity of heavy machinery by assisting European manufacturers and associated supporting companies deliver a better service with Webtec’s high-pressure hydraulic measurement and control solutions.

The company, which is headed by Martin Cuthbert, managing director of Webtec, has recently appointed Patrick Neubert as business development manager for Europe. Mr Neubert brings a wealth of technical and industry experience to the role having gained a Dipl. Ing from the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and has over 12 years’ experience working in the hydraulics and fluid power industry in a variety of specialist sales and product marketing roles.

Webtec (Europe) GmbH will service customers throughout Europe in conjunction with Webtec’s regional office in northern France and will operate in a similar way to Webtec’s other territory subsidiaries in the USA, Asia and the UK. The team, who will be fully operational in the last quarter of 2019, will be looking to support and grow the European distributor network as well as working more closely with OEMs in the fluid power, construction, mining and agricultural machinery sectors.

 

On announcing the new company, Martin Cuthbert commented: ‘We spoke to key customers throughout Europe and there was an overwhelming positive response to having a company registered in Germany. Not only will this make future trading seamless but means we are ideally placed to offer customers local support and creates great opportunities for business growth.’
