Volvo at Haughmond Hill

Haughmond Hill Quarry has benefited from a substantial re-investment under the ownership of Aggregate Industries. In a deal worth in excess of £0.85 million, Volvo Construction Equipment have supplied the quarry’s mobile plant requirements, which comprise: one L330E and one L220E wheel loader, one A40D articulated dumptruck and one EC460BLC excavator.

The 46-tonne EC460BLC excavator is used to feed a recently acquired mobile crusher with primary blasted greywacke. The processed material is then hauled by the L330E on a short-to-increasingly-longer load-and-carry duty to the tertiary feed hopper where the L220E, together with the A40D dumptruck, carry out stockpiling and loading duties.
