Upgraded mass flowmeter
MEASUREMENT specialists KROHNE have improved the performance of their OPTIMASS 1300 Coriolis mass flowmeter to measure with better accuracy while greatly reducing the influence of process conditions.
As a result, the new instrument now offers an improved accuracy of +/– 0.15% of measured value and increased immunity to temperature or pressure changes. The flowmeter features a twin-straight-tube design with an optimized flow splitter, which translates into minimal pressure loss.
According to KRONHE, this provides the OPTIMASS 1300 with a major advantage over other mass flowmeters on the market in that it can measure higher flow rates with the same size meter, giving the user a significant cost saving.
Since its launch in 2006, the OPTIMASS 13000 flowmeter is said to have exceeded sales expectation by some 50%. The demand for the meter has been so great that KROHNE have had to expand their Wellingborough-based manufacturing facility in order to cope with production volumes.
