UK debut for Bridgestone tyre

Carlisle-based Peter Stevens Dumptruck Hire Ltd are the first company in Europe to use Bridgestone’s new 750/65R25 VLTS tyres. They have fitted them to a Volvo A30D articulated dumptruck that is working in a quarry near Rugby.

A standard earthmoving tyre is referred to as an E2 or E3. Just starting to arrive from Japan, the new Bridgestone VLTS is an E4, which means its depth of tread is 56mm compared to 43mm on a standard tyre. This is the first tyre on the market with such a large tread depth and it is expected to provide extended wear life.
