TXT target industry

"Fiat-Hitachi have joined forces with TXT E-Solutions Ltd, suppliers of e-business software solutions, after deciding that they needed to be more competitive and pinpointing the areas where the most progress was likely to be made."

"The main problems that Fiat-Hitachi had to tackle and solve were the reorganization of logistics and production flows, management changes and the use of innovative techniques. They wanted to improve market service and reliability, reduce stocks of both finished machines and materials, cut lead times and increase manufacturing efficiency."

"Fiat-Hitachi opted for TXT as they offered a complete suite covering all value-chain problems. TXT’s input led to a solution based on a verticalization of the TXT SC&CM suite. The solution included a linking of Fiat-Hitachi’s international dealers and their corporate sales office, analysis of the sales plan from the plant production capacity point of view, and order dating. As a result, the company now conducts much more production to order and is decreasing the number of changes it makes to finished products."

"The number of trans-formations carried out on an end product has been reduced by 30%, stocks of direct materials have been reduced by 10% and there has been a significant reduction in the time required to fufil an order. An order can now be off the production line in half the time it used to take."
