Two new Phantom welding helmets

Phantom Impact auto-darkening welding helmet

Weldability-Sif introduce the Phantom Active Eco and Phantom Impact auto-darkening helmets

WELDABILITY-Sif, the UK-based ‘one-stop source’ for welding products, have launched two new auto-darkening helmets – the Phantom Active Eco and the Phantom Impact – that are suitable for all welding and cutting applications down to 10 amps.

Designed for comfort and style, and weighing just 0.4kg, both helmets can be used in a number of situations, such as stick, TIG, MIG/MAG, plasma welding/cutting, grinding and oxy/fuel welding/cutting.

The Phantom Impact (pictured) has a high impact-resistant nylon shell and features a stylish ‘metal and ice’ decal design, but both helmet types are equipped with the popular 110mm x 90mm x 9mm cartridge, and a clear 98mm x 44mm viewing area that provides constant UV/IR protection to DIN16.

The helmets have fully automated power on and off, and auto-darken in less than one six thousandth of a second. Externally, there is a shade-adjustment knob, so that wearers can manually change between DIN 9 and DIN 13. The sensitivity and delay are also adjustable.

Both helmet types are powered by a solar cell and come complete with a user manual, clear replacement front lens, adjustable headgear and comfort sweatband. Further replacement headgear, inner or outer lenses and sweatbands can also be ordered through Weldability-Sif.
