Penygroes Concrete Products replace 30-year-old Tennant 95 ride-on sweeper with new 800 model

SOUTH Wales-based Penygroes Concrete Products Ltd have once again chosen Tennant UK as their preferred cleaning machine supplier following the recent retirement of their previous Tennant ride-on sweeper – after 30 years of cleaning.

The concrete block manufacturer originally purchased a Tennant 95 ride-on sweeper in March 1991 and for the last three decades the machine has been used at the Penygrose Concrete facility to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Rhodri Williams, director of Penygroes Concrete Products, said the firm had stayed with Tennant due to the reliability and durability of the machine, and the excellent levels of support received from Tennant’s sales and service departments.

To replace the 95 ride-on sweeper, Tennant carried out an extensive site survey at Penygroes and identified the customer’s key requirements, including the need for a cleaning machine suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Following the survey, an on-site demonstration of a Tennant 800 ride-on sweeper immediately impressed the Penygroes team and Tennant were duly awarded the contract.

In preparation for the new machine’s introduction, an in-depth training session was provided by the Tennant UK service team for the Penygroes operators.

Mr Williams concluded: ‘We did see other equipment, but nothing came close to what the 800 achieved on the demo, which is why we stayed with Tennant.’
