Terex Ecotec introduce new TTS 518 trommel

Terex Ecotec TTS 518 trommel screen

Trommel range expanded with addition of compact entry-level model in tracked and wheeled versions

TEREX Ecotec have expanded their range of trommel screens with the introduction of the entry-level TTS 518, which is now available through Irish distributors McHale Plant Sales.

The company’s smallest trommel yet, the compact TTS 518 is aimed at small-to-medium-sized operations where space may be limited, or applications where lower volumes and a smaller machine footprint are required.

Fully equipped with an EU Stage V engine and the latest intelligent screening technology, the highly versatile TTS 518 is available in both tracked and wheeled variants and can screen a variety of materials, including gravel, waste materials and soil.

Inspired by the success of the TTS 620, the TTS 518 has the same intuitive control system and ‘push to start’ buttons, allowing the operator to effortlessly configure the machine to suit the required application.

An intelligent feed-control system continually monitors the machine to ensure a continuous feed rate and optimum screening performance and throughput.

The TTS 518’s slide out cassette feeder allows for easy maintenance and quick and simple belt changing, whilst the clear tunnel area beneath prevents material build-up, allowing it to drop directly on to the ground.

Fitted with a 1.8m diameter x 4.7m long, spiral-design horizontal drum, total screening area is 23 square metres. Double-sided drum access via 180° opening side doors allows maintenance and drum changes to be carried out with ease.

Moreover, the TTS 518 is designed to accept a number of other trommel manufacturers’ drums, allowing the unit to be integrated seamlessly into an operator’s existing fleet.

Other features include a swing-out engine cradle that offers superior service access from ground level, and fully modular conveyors, each of which can be removed independently. The fines and oversize conveyors can also be lowered to ground level for maintenance.
