Tackling fuel theft with FuelDefend

UK-based supplier of fuel theft prevention systems to offer solutions to the off-the-road (OTR) vehicle market

FUELDEFEND Global Ltd, specialists in fuel theft prevention systems for on-highway vehicles, are to supply a new range of products to customers in the construction equipment and off-highway sector.

‘We are the first choice for truck fleets worldwide when it comes to safeguarding vehicle fuel tanks from both regular and opportunistic theft,’ explained Russell Fowler, CEO of FuelDefend Global. ‘We have considerable experience of the off-highway segment and fuel theft is as much of a problem on construction sites as it is at truck stops.

‘Our product range – which grew out of a need to protect fuel tanks at a diamond mine – provides a highly cost-effective deterrent against what is a growing problem.’

Targeting a new market sector, FuelDefend Global will be offering their anti-theft solutions to major off-highway construction equipment OEMs, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, Doosan, JCB and Liebherr.

‘We see this as a very good opportunity and are actively engaged in looking for CE-specialized distributors in all global markets,’ said Mr Fowler. ‘Our experience of the on-highway segment suggests that this is a product that will be welcomed by many construction equipment manufacturers for whom fuel theft is a significant issue.’
