Senior management changes at Aggregate Industries

AGGREGATE Industries have made two senior appointments to complete the reorganization of their UK and US businesses.

In the UK, the Group has appointed Colin Jenkins as chief operating officer of its UK Aggregate Products Division, to succeed Hugh Armitage who has retired. Mr Jenkins has more than 20 years’ experience in the quarrying and aggregates industry and prior to this appointment was managing director of Bardon Aggregates.

In the US, Nabil Bouris has been appointed chief executive officer of Aggregate Industries Management Inc. This new position has been created as a result of the growth of the business over the last year and continuing plans for its future development. All operational and functional heads will report to Mr Bouris, who was previously chief operating officer of Aggregate Industries’ Cementitious Materials Division.

Commenting on the changes, Bill Bolsover, group chief executive, and chairman of Aggregate Industries Management Inc., said: ‘I am delighted that we have made these two very important appointments and I am confident that the businesses they lead will continue to make excellent progress.’

‘Colin is a very respected and experienced business leader with an in-depth knowledge of our business and our industry.

‘Our US business is now owned and managed completely separately from our UK business and I am very pleased that Nabil, who has been fulfilling the role of acting chief operating officer of the US Aggregate Products Division for the last few months, has agreed to become our US chief executive officer. He has over 20 years’ experience in our industry as well as a detailed knowledge and understanding of Aggregate Industries and our parent company, the Holcim Group.’
