Safety landmark

"Bardon Aggregates’ Cwm Nant Lleici Quarry in Swansea, South Wales, has achieved a landmark in health and safety by reaching 1,000 working days with no lost-time accidents or incidents. Employees at the unit put their success down to good levels of communication with the management team and consistent capital investment in the site, which is providing improved working conditions and helping to promote a good health and safety culture."

"The event was marked at the unit by Dave Lewis, Bardon Aggregates’ general manager for Wales, who congratulated quarry manager Stan Curtin and his team on their record of achievement and presented them all with commemorative clocks."
