Rocky road

TWO construction industry companies joined forces last month to stage a fund-raising gala evening in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief. Peter Bennie Ltd of Northampton and GRS Roadstone of Hinkley gave their support to Bennie's credit controller Juliette Keeping, who has been raising funds for the charity since January 2000.

Earlier this year Juliette raised nearly œ4,000 by taking part in a personal challenge to trek 90km through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The recent gala evening raised a further £1,300 which, added to the money already raised, boosted the fund to £5,000.
