Reviva Composting turn to Viby Attachment

Viby Hy-Tip bucket

Hertfordshire-based recycling firm uses Viby Hy-Tip buckets and a waste grab on Liebherr wheel loaders

REVIVA Composting are reaping the rewards after switching production from telescopic handlers to a combination of new Viby Attachment products and Liebherr loaders.

The combination has already led to increased productivity and efficiency of operation, partly because the previous telescopic handlers were unable to cope with increased production demands at Reviva.

It follows the introduction of Reviva’s new state-of-the-art facility in Elstree, which has the capacity to recycle 78,000 tonnes of organic material across a 2ha site and indoor processing area.

Danish attachments manufacturers Viby Attachment have supplied two of their popular Hy-Tip buckets and a versatile waste grab attachment, all of which can be easily switched between the Liebherr wheel loaders.

The Viby Hy-Tip was chosen as it allows the operator to easily fill high-capacity lorries and the task is now being performed in fewer cycles than previously. The attachment is also being used to accurately control and feed waste into a processor/hopper, which is covered by a shed.

The Viby Hy-Tips have been supplied with the manufacturer’s new central greasing system, which reduces the daily lubrication task to a single accessible greasing point rather than multiple grease points.

Andrew Little, director of Viby Attachment (UK), said: ‘In the short time that the Viby attachments have been working in combination with the Liebherr loaders at Reviva Composting, the customer has reported significant improvements in production and efficiency.

‘The optimal design and engineering of the Hy-Tip buckets means the material flows extremely cleanly and the buckets have no problem in attaining the dump height. This is particularly significant in terms of the discharge accuracy required in the shed. The site operators at Reviva have been extremely impressed by the capabilities of the attachments.’
