Rammer extend cutter crusher versatility

Sandvik Mining and Construction have strengthened their position as suppliers of specialist demolition attachments with the introduction of the Rammer RD 19.

Designed to be as light and durable as possible, the Rammer RD 19 has a maximum operating weight of 2,240kg and offers a maximum cutting force of 2,800kN. Along with a wide, robust body for improved efficiency and greater durability, wear resistance is enhanced by the addition of a new, fully enclosed hydraulic cylinder and shorter hydraulic hoses. Enlarged hydraulics help reduce the risk of overheating and provide greater operational economy, while the addition of a new standard-fit speed valve and optional hydraulic rotation produce shorter cycle times and higher productivity.

Interchangeable jaw sets allow the Rammer RD 19 to be used in a wide variety of applications. The S-jaw set is suitable for steel cutting applications, while the addition of the D-jaw set converts the RD into a powerful crusher. A wood-cutting variation of the D-jaw allows the unit to process timber, while pulverizer pads make the D-jaw capable of a wide range of pulverizing duties.

Crushing teeth are locked into place mechanically for simple, fast replacement, while curved cutting blades set deep in the throat of the jaws prevent the ingress of concrete, minimizing blade wear and extending blade life.
