Rail contract
EWS have been awarded a new three-year contract from WBB Minerals to move sand from Leziate Quarry near King’s Lynn in Norfolk to two glassworks in South Yorkshire. Three trains a week will deliver 147,000 tonnes a year to Rexam Glass at Monk Bretton near Barnsley and two trains a week will carry 100,000 tonnes a year to Rockware Glass at Barnby Dun near Doncaster.
