PRS add new Bitelli BB730 to their paver fleet

Redditch-based asphalt surfacing specialists Prudden Road Surfacing (PRS) have recently added a new Bitelli BB730 paver to their existing fleet of Bitelli equipment. The BB730, which weighs just 7 tonnes but has a maximum paving width of 4,000mm (13ft) and a notional production capacity of up to 132 tonnes/h, was purchased from surfacing equipment specialists Finnpave, part of Finning (UK) Ltd.

PRS, whose work is approved to Highways Agency and materials manufacturers standards HA942 and BS4987/594 respectively, carry out projects ranging from small driveways to large car parks and highway maintenance projects. They also specialize in the preparation of sports surfaces.

Over the years the company have developed a close working relationship with Finnpave and consistently specify Bitelli equipment for its reliability and simplicity of operation. Company founder Lee Prudden commented: ‘We have specified a range of Bitelli equipment from Finnpave, from mini pavers up to the BB650, which has a maximum paving width of 6,000mm (19ft 8in).

‘The overriding reason for us taking Bitelli kit is its simplicity of operation. Our operators can transfer from one machine to another very easily without having to retrain on the controls. Other makes of machine tend to be very complicated to operate.’

PRS have experienced significant growth in recent years through their ability to handle a wide range of surfacing projects and their commitment to establishing partnering arrangements in the private and commercial sectors throughout the UK.
