Proskills Cup for Quinn Group employee

Piotr Pytko, an NVQ Level 3 student at South West College in Northern Ireland, picks up Proskills Cup

THE Dungannon Campus of Northern Ireland’s South West College was the setting for a recent prize-giving ceremony in recognition of top achievers for the 2010/11 academic year.

For the first time, the excellence of those training and working within the extractives industry was recognized with the awarding of the Proskills Cup, sponsored by Proskills, the Sector Skills Council for Processing and Manufacturing Industries.

The cup is presented to the student judged to display the best technical and industry-based skills following training from South West College.

This year the cup was presented to Piotr Pytko (second from left), an employee of Quinn Group’s Quarry Products division and an NVQ Level 3 Extractives & Mineral Processing student, specializing in Blasting Operations.
