Precia-Molen reach Arabian heights

PRECIA-Molen have won a contract to supply an automated dispatch system to Arabian Cement Company (ACC) at their Rabigh plant, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The new equipment will be based around the weighing specialists’ GeneSYS and GSM software and forms part of a full automation package that is being developed for a new production line at Rabigh.

The automation system will perform three specific functions: first, to ensure controlled and orderly traffic within the plant; secondly, to optimize order handling and delivery tracking; and thirdly, to automate the loading of trucks with full integration into an ACC Oracle business-management system.

Precia-Molen will also develop a simultaneous Arabic and English user interface that will work in conjunction with the existing plant bulk-loading cement silos and auto-packers to ensure the correct number of bags are loaded.

In total, 23 BI300 driver consoles, including swipe stations and tickets printers for producing final dispatch documentation, will be supplied, all working efficiently at temperatures up to 45°C
