Pivot-steered rollers from Dynapac

Dynapac, who have a long tradition of producing CG rollers where the central articulation of the frame is replaced by a drum-pivot steering system, last year introduced an 8-tonne CG asphalt roller to complement their articulated CC range.

The CG and CC ranges have several common components including high-frequency drums. The high-vibration frequency, in combination with the low amplitude, is suitable for use on thin asphalt layers with high stone content as it allows effective compaction without crushing the stone. Two alternative cabs are available — an asymmetric cab for maximum ergonomics and visibility or a symmetric cab for operators who prefer a more traditional style. Both cab styles provide maximum drum visibility.

The CG223HF is fitted with ordinary HF drums, while the CG233HF is equipped with split HF drums both front and rear. Offset options of up to 900mm in both directions are included in the steering and driving system.

Dynapac’s electronic drive control (EDC) is fitted as standard and allows the operator to run the machine as smoothly as required. In an emergency the EDC will automatically switch to transport mode to allow the machine to stop quickly and safely.

The CG machines are equipped with Dynapac’s new integrated scraper/sprinkler system for an optimum water spray on the drums with reduced water consumption.
