Over-the-tyre track system for skid-steer loaders

"Solideal have introduced an over-the-tyres (OTT) rubber-track system for skid-steer loaders which allows conventional skid-steer loaders equipped with 250mm (10in) wide tyres to be converted to tracked machines in less than 15min, without the removal of the wheels and regardless of the state of wear of the existing tyres."

"Following an extensive testing programme, Solideal say that the new heavy-duty tracks can reduce machine ground-bearing pressure by a factor of 5 and are therefore suitable for applications where increased traction is required."

"The OTT system has been designed with a self-cleaning tread pattern and a fully closed surface to prevent debris interfering with the tyre-track drive interface. The tracks, which are virtually maintenance free, cause no damage to the machine’s existing tyres and wheels."

"Although Solideal currently only offer one size, they are planning to introduce additional sizes to cater for both 305mm and 356mm (12in and 14in) wide skid-steer tyres in the near future."
