Online fire safety training

Castle Group launch new IFE-approved online modular fire safety training course for company employees

CASTLE Group Ltd have launched a new online fire safety training course for any company that wishes to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

This Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)-approved course for all employees provides an in-depth introduction to fire safety and awareness and contains information that could save a life.

Being online, the training can be completed at the employee’s own pace and is broken down into modules that can be completed independently for maximum flexibility.

Each module is assessed and must be passed before moving on to the next one. On successful completion of all five modules, an IFE-approved certificate is automatically awarded and can be printed off directly on to plain paper.

Castle’s managing director, Simon Bull, said: ‘This is such a simple way to ensure compliance with the regulations and, more than that, to keep people safe in the event of a fire.

‘Management of the training is all done by the employer online where the simple system will show the progress of employees so you will know when the course has been completed. This information can then be used to update training records in compliance with the company’s quality systems.’

Course modules run through the chemistry of fire, common causes of fire, the safety features of buildings, fire extinguishers and when to use them, and what a person should do in the event of a fire. Each module is concluded with a short test to check on the learner’s progress.
