Newly designed utility vehicle from Bobcat

Bobcat 3400D utility vehicle

Multi-purpose diesel-powered 3400D vehicle now has road homologation (tractor) as standard

AVAILABLE in standard and deluxe versions, the latest Bobcat 3400D utility vehicle offers a comprehensive choice of drive modes and dealer-installed accessories to provide the power, traction and versatility required on a wide variety of jobs, and to negotiate all types of terrain.

The 3400D is powered by an 18.5kW Yanmar liquid-cooled diesel engine with a large 34-litre diesel tank, allowing the vehicle to work all day. The machine offers a top speed of 48km/h (in high gear), while the low gear and reverse speed is limited to 24km/h to provide maximum drive torque.

The 3400D utility vehicle is CE-compliant and offers a comfortable ride for the driver and passenger. The suspension system is four-wheel independent with non-adjustable MacPherson struts on the front-end and pre-adjustable shocks in the rear, which have two different mounting positions.

The normal setting, where the position is at more of an angle, is for ordinary situations, light-duty work and recreational use, while the straighter, shock-mounting position is for more arduous situations when travel speed is slower and loads are heavy.

The variable-rate acceleration feature on the 3400D allows the vehicle to increase speed at a slower rate during the first half of the acceleration pedal, but more quickly during the second half. This provides precise throttle control when manoeuvring the machine in tight situations.

The vehicle’s 500kg-capacity cargo box is made of composite materials and includes tie-down points, a manual dumping level with lift-assist strut (standard version) and an easy-to-open, fold-flat tailgate. Several kits are available to upgrade the 3400D, including: work lights on the ROPS, canopy or cab; a powered cargo box lift; and modular steel or canvas cabs.
