New Stage V two-tool compressor from Atlas Copco

New Atlas Copco two-tool XAS 58 compressor

Latest re-engineered XAS 58 air compressor designed specifically for demolition and construction sectors

TO meet the upcoming Stage V emission regulations for non-road diesel engines, Atlas Copco have announced the launch of their re-engineered XAS 58 air compressor. The construction tools manufacturer said that it wanted to help end-users comply with the new regulations ‘without losing the benefits and cost-savings associated with two-toolers’.

The lightweight and compact XAS 58 compressor is designed to power two hand tools, such as two RTEX 25 breakers requiring 50 litres per second at the same time. According to Atlas Copco, the XAS 58 is the first portable compressor in the market that delivers an airflow of 3 cubic metres per minute, with a mechanical engine under 19kW.

Designed for use on construction and demolition sites, the XAS 58 features Atlas Copco’s patented HardHat canopy which not only protects the compressor, but also, over time, increases the unit’s service life and resale value.

The Stage V compressor model has also been designed for ease of transportation, thanks to a strong undercarriage making it safe to transport on rough ground, as well as a spillage-free frame to eliminate any risk of ground contamination. Furthermore, the unit weighs less than 750kg and can be towed behind a car.
