New senior appointment at Environ

Dr Richard Andrews

Environmental and human health consultancy appoints Richard Andrews to lead international industrial growth

INTERNATIONAL environmental, health, safety and sustainability consultancy Environ has appointed Dr Richard Andrews (pictured) as a principal in the newly created role of director, international industrial sector.

He will focus primarily on delivering growth in the EU and Africa, working closely with Joyce Schlesinger, Mark Travers, Environ’s executive vice-presidents for global practice development, and José Fernandez, the consultancy’s EU and Africa division president.

 

With more than 20 years’ experience in diversified environmental, health and safety, sustainability, energy, engineering design, project management and construction management services for industrial sector clients, Mr Andrews has experience across a range of sectors, including minerals and mining.

He has retained client-facing roles on projects including large-scale environmental and health & safety due diligence work, EHS corporate auditing programmes, industrial permitting, soil and groundwater contamination assessment and remediation, and hydrogeological studies.

He joins Environ from URS where he was vice-president in charge of the Infrastructure and Environment division’s industrial sector work across EMEA and Asia, with substantial experience in developing and delivering growth strategies for new products and technical services.

Europe and Africa division president José Fernandez said: ‘Richard is a sought-after senior figure in environmental consulting and exactly the right fit for Environ as we increase our focus on the industrial sector internationally – we are delighted he has chosen to join us.
