New recycling bucket

The Allu bucket produced by Ideachip Oy of Finland can be fitted to excavators and wheel loaders to process a variety of materials.

"There are three model ranges — SML (light duty), SM (standard duty) and SMH (heavy duty), which has a twin-pump drive to give twice the torque on the rotor shaft. The smallest bucket, recommended for excavators, has two rotors with a rotor width of 1.2m. The largest bucket has four rotors with a rotor width of 2.7m and is recommended for use with wheel loaders."

"The bucket is filled like any standard bucket and when the rotors are engaged by the double-acting hydraulic circuit the bucket is tilted back to an angle of 30o and the material then rotates in the bucket allowing the fines to pass through the rotors, leaving clean stone in the bucket. Rotor spacing can be either 40mm or 60mm and there is also an option of a rear screen mesh."

An Allu bucket has recently been used to recycle glass bottles for asphalt mixes and to shred old asphalt plannings to supply a cold foam-mix asphalt plant. Other applications include: crushing bricks; screening and blending soils; screening and crushing coal; and screening inert waste and hardcore.
