New pumpset from BL-Pegson

"Over the last six years BL-Pegson have been designing and perfecting their contractors’ pump range to suit today’s quarry, hire and opencast mining applications. The range now consists of vacuum-assisted, self-priming, diesel-driven, portable, high-head and high-flow pumpsets. The pumps have already been used in a number of different industries around the world and, in a recent product development, the company have launched the VS150HPS which has a number of features specifically designed for the modern, environmentally aware market."

"The new pump is mounted on a skid base to stand up to the rugged applications associated with opencast and quarry sites. It is fully bunded to protect against diesel or oil spillage as well as being covered to prevent rainwater entering the bund. The pumpset also incorporates a fuel tank which allows the pump to run for up to 24h. It is capable of heads of up to 125m and has flows of up to 400m3/h (6,400 litres/min)."

The VS150HPS incorporates Pegson’s electronically controlled priming system that is totally maintenance-free in operation. Power is provided by a Perkins 1006T fully silenced engine which is covered by an electronic shutdown system.

"The unit has undergone extensive field trials in a number of applications — one unit has been running 24h a day, seven days a week, for two years without any problems."
