New products from Prolec

"Prolec Ltd launched no fewer than five new products — pcX 3D, Digmaster, Level-X, Weighloader and Heightwatch — at the recent SED exhibition."

"pcX 3D has been upgraded to offer a complete 3D representation of the excavator’s movements on a laptop-sized display in the driver’s cab. The system can be integrated with GPS to give real-time monitoring of exact position and activity. When allied to terrain modelling software, the system allows the driver to cut complex profiles without the aid of on-site support or marking out."

Digmaster has recently been upgraded and now incorporates CAN-based technology. Two alternative sensor units are available: the CANbus AS7 solid-state angle sensor for above-ground applications; and the AS8 magnetically dampned angle sensor for dredging and higher-accuracy applications.

"The CAN2.0B-based Level-X system has been designed to offer digital depth and grade monitoring for excavators. Level-X combines complex technology with user-friendly functions, allowing the operator to work quickly, accurately and productively. All monitoring of platform attitudes and equipment angles is provided by field-proven solid-state sensors and referenced to either a local benchmark or site laser. Level-X can also plug into the CANbus sensor suite, ensuring configuration to any machine. The standard level of software will support either monoboom or hydraulically adjustable boom equipment."

"The new version of Weighloader offers a clear, back-lit graphic display with contrast adjustment, a back-lit numerical keypad in flexible rubber, as well as the software which has become the trademark of this unit. The new package is contained in an all-new enclosure that has been specially designed for today’s wheel loaders."

The latest version of Heightwatch now has a solid-state angle sensor. This is a totally sealed unit with plug and socket connectors allowing it to be changed without the need for special tools or rewiring. The angle sensing within the unit is accelerometer based.
