Hyundai appoint Agritrac Exports as their new construction equipment dealer north of the border

HYUNDAI have appointed Agritrac Exports as the new Hyundai Construction Equipment dealer for Scotland as of January 2019. They replace Young Plant Sales who, by mutual assent, terminated their existing agreement for sales of new Hyundai construction equipment, with effect from 1 January.

Agritrac, who are part of agricultural machinery suppliers HRN Tractors, boast seven depots across the Scottish region and employ 35 service technicians to support their products. The company also has 13 existing sales professionals and has recruited two additional dedicated construction sales specialists to complement the existing team.

Commenting on the appointment, Tony Reeves, Hyundai’s regional sales manager for the UK and Ireland, said: ‘As part of HRN Tractors, Agritrac offer a well-established network of depots across Scotland which will offer our Hyundai customers the very highest levels of service, parts and sales provision.

‘Agritrac have a fantastic reputation across Scotland for excellent service backup, which is essential in providing ‘added value’ and ‘peace of mind’ to Scottish operators of our products.’

He added: ‘Agritrac will also be a ‘full-line’ dealer, which is a first for the Hyundai brand in Scotland, offering customers mini-excavators as well as heavy-line excavators and wheel loaders. We are delighted to launch this partnership with Agritrac and are confident that this will positively boost our presence in the Scottish market.’

Agritrac Exports director Stuart Barclay commented: ‘We are very much looking forward to working with Hyundai and see this partnership as a great opportunity to raise the profile of the brand in Scotland.

‘Hyundai manufacture a vast range of products and, through our many depots across Scotland, we are confident that we will be selling to a wide range of our existing customers and securing new customers, all backed up with an excellent parts and backup service, which we have built our reputation on in the region.’
