New GIPO plant for Rhyne Rock
Established around 10 years ago in Killoe, Co. Longford, Ireland, Rhyne Rock Ltd, a family owned business that has grown into one of the largest quarries/suppliers of all types of crushed rock, road chippings, bulk excavation material and ready-mixed concrete within the area, have recently taken delivery of a new GIPO mobile crushing and screening plant from UK and Ireland distributors Aggregate Processing and Recycling of Tamworth, Staffordshire.
The GIPO B1385 FDR GIGA machine supplied to Rhyne Rock is said to be unique in that it is totally free-running on its track system and requires no stabilizing legs, making machine movement very fast and simple.
Material is fed into the machine via a large-capacity feed hopper with hydraulically folding Hardox sides, before passing over a heavy-duty crusher feeder featuring load-sensing variable-speed hydraulic drive and Hardox base and side liners. The B1385 FDR GIGA specification includes a 33-tonne jaw crusher measuring 1,350mm wide x 850mm deep complete with speed control, hydraulically assisted adjustment and a reverse-crush facility.
A two-deck pre-screen includes a crusher by-pass option for the middle grade and an 8m side conveyor with full side sealing. The machine specification also features a 1.4m wide outlet conveyor from the crusher with hydraulic lift height adjustment and a crusher deflector system.
An on-board, demountable, two-deck screen system, which includes a radial oversize return conveyor, middle screen conveyor and a fine product conveyor, completes the processing component line-up.
The high-performance GIPO B1385 FDR GIGA primary crushing and screening system supplied to Rhyne Rock weighs approximately 88 tonnes and is powered by a 328kW Caterpillar C13 engine with variable-speed diesel-hydraulic drive.
The GIPO range also includes larger jaw crusher units of 1,400mm x 1,000mm and 1,500mm x 1,100mm, and other capacities may be available upon special request. GIPO also claim to offer a larger range of mobile impact crushers than any other manufacturer, with over 30 different models available ranging from the smallest 250 tonnes/h R100C up to the 135-tonne Gipocombi RC170FDR, which is capable of crushing and screening in close circuit at rates in excess of
1,000 tonnes/h.
