New Ethernet-managed I/O modules offer complete connectivity
Korenix UK are offering a new range of DIN rail-mounted, Ethernet-managed I/O modules for distributive monitoring and control. With an integrated OPC server and Modbus/TCP functionality, the Korenix Jet I/O 6500 Series is suitable for use in industrial environments.
Equipped with multiple analogue/digital I/O channels, an RJ-45 Ethernet port and temperature measurement (thermocouple, RTD) connectors, the 6500 system allows users to collect I/O data, configure settings for predefined alarms, automatically activate events and change the status of devices across their Ethernet network.
The module supports a number of protocols, including IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, HTTP, Telnet, BOOTP and DHCP, providing easy and simple connection to existing SCADA and HMI systems.
The computer for the Jet I/O 6500 Series is a 16-bit, 100MHz, RISC-based processor, with a built-in watchdog timer and real-time clock, while the device’s aluminium housing is protected to IP31 standards, with dimensions of 120mm x 55mm x 75mm. The 6500 Series can operate in temperatures from –20°C up to 70°C.
