New director at Breedon Aggregates Scotland

Breedon Aggregates

Brad Murphy appointed as successor to retiring Scottish East Region director Jim McDowall

DUNDEE-based Breedon Aggregates Scotland have appointed Brad Murphy as their new regional director for the East Region, covering the company’s aggregates, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete operations in Tayside and Fife. He will join in mid-April and succeeds Jim McDowall, who will shortly be retiring after six years with the company.

Mr Murphy has spent the last six years with Aggregate Industries, latterly as general manager of their concrete business in Scotland, where he was responsible for more than 20 ready-mixed concrete plants. Prior to this he gained extensive experience in the industry with Hanson, Pioneer and RMC in a variety of roles.

Alan Mackenzie, chief executive of Breedon Aggregates Scotland, commented: ‘Brad has an exceptionally strong commercial and operational background and I’m delighted to welcome him to the team. I’m confident that he will be an excellent addition to the board as we continue to develop Breedon Aggregates as a major force in the Scottish building materials industry.’
