New crushing and screening video

"TO complement The Institute of Quarrying’s comprehensive handbook on ‘Crushing and Screening’, written by Ken Rothery and Steve Mellor, the Institute has produced an 11min duration, VHS PAL-format video showing moving images of all types of crushers and screens commonly found in aggregate quarries."

"Jaw crushers, cone crushers, gyratory crushers, roll-sizers and both horizontal-shaft and vertical-shaft impactors are all described; in most cases the descriptions comprise moving graphic images to explain the principles of operation together with views of real machines in action. The principles of screening are discussed and illustrated by images of vibrating screens, probability screens, grizzly screens and trommels."

"Conceived by the Supply Industry Committee and subsequently edited by Eric Cash, who has extensive experience of the design and installation of crushing and screening plant, the video is intended to be used for the training of students, newly recruited plant operators and managers, and for informing visitors to quarries. It was compiled from video clips, CDs and still photographs provided freely by equipment manufacturers with financial support from the Education Development and Benevolent Fund."
