New Centroload feeder from Jeffrey Rader

JEFFREY Rader Corp. have introduced the new Centroload aggregate feeder, specifically designed to deliver a uniform, evenly distributed feed around the circumference of the crusher opening on a cone crusher or vertical-shaft impactor.

Many aggregate operators currently use a standard pan feeder with a radial discharge unit over the crusher to ensure even material distribution, but Jeffrey Rader say this traditional method of feeding equates to twice as much equipment and maintenance, and also requires the removal of more equipment in order to access the wear parts.

‘What used to require two machines now only requires one Centroload feeder,’ explained Doug Sublett, sales and marketing manager for Jeffrey Rader. ‘In lieu of feeding from the end of the pan, the material travels around and into a feed spout at the discharge end of the Centroload feeder.

‘Using a unique design, the Centroload feeder produces very uniform feeding to the discharge spout to ensure the material is evenly distributed around the circumference of the crusher opening,’ he explained.

According to Mr Sublett, the new Centroload unit also incorporates many of the advantages of a standard Jeffrey Rader feeder, such as pre-compressed springs, standard motor and eccentric shaft drive arrangement.’

Jeffrey Rader worked closely with one of the largest aggregate producers in the world on development of the new feeder. ‘The improvements they have seen include 15-20% higher production rates, better gradation of materials and at least 10% better liner wear in the crusher due to more uniform product distribution,’ commented Mr Sublett.

‘We are confident this new product will help our customers improve their operating efficiency, which is especially important during these difficult times.’
