New appointment at FM Conway

Wendy Bates

Company strengthens senior team with appointment of Wendy Bates as business services director

FM Conway have appointed Wendy Bates to the role of business services director as the infrastructure services company continues to expand its operations across London and the south of England.

With responsibility for strengthening FM Conway’s central services functions to support and consolidate growth, and enhance customer service delivery, she will oversee the company’s central services, IT, resource and planning, marketing and communications divisions.

 

Ms Bates (pictured) brings with her a wealth of expertise from her experiences in managerial positions in equipment hire and telematics and logistics businesses.

Her previous experience includes 27 years with Speedy plc, where she held a number of senior positions, latterly that of innovation and client experience director, supporting the company during its growth and transition from a family firm to the UK’s largest construction equipment provider.

More recently, she was sales operations and marketing manager for international logistics technology specialists Isotrak Ltd.

Joanne Garwood, central services director at FM Conway, said: ‘FM Conway’s business services divisions have played a critical part in our growth as we expand our geographical reach and broaden our areas of expertise.

‘With her commercial focus and leadership experience across linked industries, Wendy will support our development and ensure we continue to deliver great work for our customers.’
