New appointment at Berkshire Engineering

David Blench

David Blench joins BES as technical director of the Crushing and Screening division in the UK and Ireland

BERKSHIRE Engineering Supplies Ltd (BES) have appointed David Blench as technical director of their Crushing and Screening division, with responsibility for leading the development and growth of the MEKA range of crushing and screening equipment in the UK and Ireland. 

Mr Blench (pictured) is a well-known industry professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the design and development of innovative crushing, screening and processing solutions for a number of projects around the world.

Prior to joining BES, he worked for HeidelbergCement as head of engineering and project management for aggregates in Western and Southern Europe - Africa–Eastern Mediterranean Basin (WSE-AEM), where he was responsible for leading and managing resources to support processing, engineering and project management.

His responsibilities included supporting and developing regional capabilities for capex justification, including plant engineering and design, technical problem solving and plant optimization.

 

Mr Blench’s role at HeidelbergCement also involved working for the Competence Centre for Materials in the WSE - AEM regions, and he was part of a team of professionals that provided technical expertise in engineering and training, visiting and supporting operations in various regions and carrying out plant evaluations with the aim of maximizing production and making savings in compliance with ongoing continuous improvement programmes.

Having also previously worked for Svedala and Terex, Berkshire Engineering say Mr Blench’s in-depth knowledge and experience within the mining, minerals processing and crushing and screening sectors will be invaluable to the company and will provide the level of support BES customers expect and appreciate.
