New Anaconda trommel screen for Kirkby Skips

Anaconda TD516 trommel screen

Recycling firm acquires new TD516 tracked trommel following successful trial

KIRKBY Skips Ltd, one of the largest waste-management and recycling firms in Liverpool, Merseyside and surrounding areas, have taken delivery of a TD516 trommel screen from Anaconda UK.

Having tested the Anaconda screener across a range of waste recycling applications, Kirkby Skips were highly satisfied with the machine’s solid performance, versatility and mobility to move around from site to site.

The TD516 tracked trommel screen – which comes in a wide range of drum designs and screen sizes - also suited the customer’s demanding recycling target requirements by producing high volumes of processed waste material in applications, such as skip waste fines, shredded waste, soil remediation, composting and wood chip.

Danny Morgan of Anaconda UK commented: ‘The TD516 is ideal for an operation such as that run by Kirkby Skips. The waste segregation provided not only helps the environment by raising recycling levels, but also saves money by reducing landfill taxes.

‘The TD516 trommel screen is a value for money machine that can operate in confined spaces yet process material at a rate of up to 150 tonne/h. It has been a solid investment for Kirkby Skips and is being used to recycle everything from C&D waste to top soil.’

Elsewhere, R Bunton Plant Hire of north Yorkshire have purchased their first DF410 tracked scalping screen from Anaconda UK. Following the successful trial of the machine, Andrew Bunton, managing director of R Bunton, was impressed with the DF410 screen’s rapid set-up time, performance and excellent mobility for easy transportation from site to site.

‘We are happy with the machine performance and we know we can count on Anaconda UK’s after-sales support when we need it,’ said Mr Bunton. ‘They understand that support for spare parts and service is just as important as the initial purchase of the screener.’

Mr Morgan added: ‘With landfill at a premium and natural resources depleting, there is high demand for recycling material of all types. The DF410 screen is suitable for recycling waste materials from construction and demolition sites, and applications include: environmental clean-ups, topsoil/subsoil, skip fines and C&D waste.’
