New accounts and CRM systems for Singleton Birch
SINGLETON Birch, the UK’s leading independent lime suppliers, have recently implemented a new accounting software package and customer relationship management (CRM) system to improve their business processes.
Previously, the North Lincolnshire-based firm had a number of management techniques in place which were becoming increasingly difficult and time consuming to use as the business expanded.
Following a period of consultation, the company purchased a 15-user IRIS Exchequer accounts solution and a 15-user Prospectsoft CRM system, which was later implemented by local IT experts HBP Systems Ltd.
With strong reporting capabilities, IRIS Exchequer allows Singleton Birch to generate tailored reports and retrieve relevant information, thereby improving the decision-making process.
Meanwhile, Prospectsoft CRM allows the company to manage its customer database and analyse the market in order to establish how much market share it has.
Prospectsoft CRM fully integrates with IRIS Exchequer giving employees access to key account information and reducing the paperwork and staff time required when selling products. Both systems are modular and allow for additional functionality to be added at a later date, if required.
In addition, the system was tailored to create a delivery planner that allows Singleton Birch to take orders from their customers, put them into a schedule planner, assign them to a haulier and schedule deliveries. The delivery planner also integrates with the company’s weighbridge software as well as IRIS Exchequer, providing an easy to operate system.

The most impressive aspect was the reporting, and we were assured and subsequently convinced that the bespoke element of our software would not cause us any problems.’
