MPQC offers new course
            THE Mineral Products Qualifications Council is co-ordinating a series of four-day workshops designed to cover the complexities of working in the quarrying and extractive industries. 
The new course – IOSH Managing Safely in the Extractive Industry – is aimed at supervisors and managers, as well as those with the responsibility of managing health and safety, or those involved in safety committees.
The topics covered within the course include: safety management; active monitoring; health and safety legislation; risk assessment and control; and hazards. All the four-day workshops will be held in Crewe and the dates are as follows:
