MPQC gains MPS Academy accreditation

THE Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC) Skills Centre division has achieved National Skills Academy for Materials, Production & Supply (MPS-Academy) accreditation for the successful delivery of vocational qualifications in the extractives and mineral processing industries.

MPQC was one of four organizations to be awarded the MPS-Academy accreditation at the Proskills Annual Conference held last month. Richard Bloxam, MPS-Academy network development manager presented the recognition plaque to Jack Berridge, director of MPQC.

Commenting on the award, he said: ‘MPQC is extremely pleased to have been one of the first to have been formally recognized as a provider of quality-assured vocational qualifications for the extractives and mineral processing industries and, in future, the Academy accreditation will provide reassurance to our customers that their training needs are being met by an organization that can meet robust and independently audited standards of operation.’
