Appointment of Andy Gough expands depth of experience in Asia Pacific Region as market grows

MPP Global have announced the appointment of Andy Gough as dealer manager responsible for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. He joins the MPP Global team with more than 25 years’ experience in the aggregate business.

Mr Gough has developed his expertise both as a quarry owner and in sales and support for an equipment manufacturer, bringing a unique and well-rounded perspective to his new position. Most recently, Mr Gough provided technical support for Metso Outotec crushers, based in Western Australia.

‘Andy’s experience with the heavy equipment industry in the region will allow him to easily integrate into and work with our dealer network to keep pace with the rising demand for crushing systems,’ said Kevin Kiesgen, vice-president of sales and marketing at MPP Global.

Trained and qualified as a Caterpillar diesel plant fitter, Mr Gough’s practical mechanical knowledge and experience includes work on a wide range of equipment in various sectors of the mining, construction, and quarry industries.

He will continue the close working relationship MPP Global enjoy with their distribution partners, as well as looking to identify and recruit prospective dealers across south-east Asia.

‘There are incredible growth opportunities for both dealers and customers in the coming years,’ said Mr Gough. ‘The key success factor for both will be knowledgeable support and responsiveness.

‘My career has focused on the delivery of high-quality customer service, and with my experience in a variety of challenging roles, I look forward to bringing value to the MPP Global team.’

The growth of the construction equipment market in the APAC region is expected to be driven by several factors, such as the increasing demand for infrastructure, growing urbanization, and rising investments in the construction sector.

The appointment of Mr Gough, who will be based out of Australia, became effective 1 May 2023.
