Company becomes latest member of the Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments (CL:AIRE) organization 

WASTE-management firm Mick George have further strengthened their commitment to sustainable land reuse by joining the Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments (CL:AIRE) organization.

An independent body, CL:AIRE has been set up to stimulate the regeneration of contaminated land in the UK by raising awareness of, and confidence in, practical and sustainable remediation technologies. 

 

Mick George operate waste transfer stations across East Anglia and the East Midlands, providing a wide range of waste-related services. In its bid to achieve zero waste to landfill status, the company has recently opened a new recycling plant featuring state-of-the-art waste sorting technologies. 

‘All over the business we are seeking to improve,’ said Jon Stump, finance director at Mick George. ‘That means utilizing internal and external resources at our disposal. Affiliating ourselves with organizations, such as CL:AIRE, is a deliberate strategy and one we utilize regularly with other services. They possess a wealth of knowledge that will prove beneficial in enhancing our provision to the market.’

Indeed, CL:AIRE acts as a credible resource hub, disseminating information and experiences to improve efficiencies, raise standards and develop solutions under the guidance of its members. 

Mick George currently operate a fleet of around 290 vehicles and have recently launched a new commercial waste service for businesses across East Anglia and the East Midlands.
