Metso appoint interim president and CEO

Chief financial officer Eeva Sipilä to take on interim role with effect from 3 February 2018

METSO have appointed chief financial officer Eeva Sipilä as the company’s interim president and chief executive officer, with effect from 3 February 2018, while the search for a new president and CEO continues.

On 18 December 2017, it was announced that Metso’s current president and CEO, Nico Delvaux, had decided to resign in order to assume the position of president and CEO of ASSA ABLOY. Mr Delvaux will leave his duties on 2 February.
