McCloskey acquire Viper

ONTARIO-based McCloskey International, manufacturers of portable trommel screens and conveyors, have acquired Viper International, the Northern Ireland-based manufacturers of mobile vibrating screens for the aggregates and recycling industries, for an undisclosed sum.

Viper will be fully integrated into the Canadian-based firm with the company continuing to operate from Coalisland in Northern Ireland, under the banner of McCloskey International.

This newly formed UK division of McCloskey will be responsible for the continued product development and manufacturing of vibrating screens, as well as the distribution of the expanded line of McCloskey products in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. All products will be branded as McCloskey and in time the Viper name will be eliminated.

A spokesperson for McCloskey said it was the company’s intention to continue to innovate in the design of the vibrating screen line to achieve superior quality, functionality and value. McCloskey’s range of screening equipment will be showcased at Hillhead 2005 from 21–23 June.
