Liebherr open mobile-crane training centre

A fully accredited CPCS training school has opened at Liebherr’s headquarters in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Staffed by fully qualified and experienced instructors, the training centre has been established to provide certified compliance for lifting operations and lifting equipment requirements in accordance with British Standards for the safe use of cranes.

Liebherr’s purpose-built school delivers approved qualifications and assessments in Intermediate Construction Training (ICT), National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS).

From basic operation of a crane through to planning and managing complex lifting projects, the training centre provides suitable courses and facilities both in the classroom and for practical hands-on-experience and assessment on a specially constructed crane proving ground. The school has its own 30-tonne mobile all-terrain crane for use during the practical aspects of training courses.

Readers wanting further information on the courses available at the training centre should contact Lierbherr-Great Britain, CPCS Training School on tel: (01767) 602222; fax: (01767) 602181; email: cpcs.training@liebherr.com; website: www.liebherr.com
