Leveller now available in the UK

"Launched at the ConExpo show last year, Vermeer’s terrain leveller is now available in the UK and Ireland from distributors B-Trac Equipment."

"Designed for coupling to Vermeer’s T1055 and T1255 trenchers, the terrain-leveller attachment, which weighs 38.6 tonnes, comprises a large-diameter rock-cutting drum capable of breaking up a range of materials including rock, concrete, gypsum, overburden, coal and asphalt. With low-, medium- and high-speed motors, the 1.15m diameter drum rotates at between 24 rev/min and 50 rev/min and has a maximum digging depth of 690mm."

"Additional features include two-directional levelling, auto down pressure, a depth gauge, and stabilizers with bogie wheels. The unit’s dimensions are 3.66m wide, 3.66m high and 12.19m long."

"One machine is currently being used to extract limestone. Usually the process involves drilling, blasting and then transporting the large blocks of material to a crusher. Using the terrain leveller has reduced the three processes down to one, while raising productivity to 300–400 tonnes/h."
