Latest mixing plant from Liebherr
Liebherr have designed their latest Betomix horizontal mixing plant series asa modular-element system with a variety of options and accessories. This allows each plant to be matched to a variety of geographical conditions and technical requirements.
In exceptionally cold regions where the plant is operated at temperatures well below freezing, the complete plant is enclosed in an insulated housing. Internal areas are heated with additional warm air blown into the silos so that material flows freely. Conversely, in areas where outside temperatures exceed 50oC, crushed ice can be added to the intensive mixer, lowering the temperature of the concrete to a level suitable for processing.
With its flexible layout, the Betomix plant can be integrated into existing production buildings and processes. It can be linked to a bucket loader and, as an optimum performance option, equipped with Liebherr’s Litronic MPS-II control system. It is also suitable for large-scale sites as plant size can be scaled up to fulfill a project’s output volume.
The Betomix plant is available with either a ring-pan mixer (1–3m3 nominal volume) or a twin-shaft mixer (2.25–6m3 nominal volume). Both systems require only short mixing times and mixer loading can be either by an elevator or a belt conveyor.
The modular concept of the system means that delivery and erection times are kept to a minimum.The dimensions of pre-assembled plant units have been optimized for transportation to site, so that freight costs are kept to a minimum.
Apart from a small number of mechanical elements, the Betomix plant isof almost fully galvanized construction. An optional feature is the collecting hopper, which can be lowered to compensate for truck heights of between 3.6m and 4.0m, so that there is less contamination from loose material when truckmixers are loaded.
