Large fleet of JCB Loadalls for Nixon Hire

JCB Loadall telescopic handler

Plant hire firm invests in more than 150 telehandlers in deal worth more than £9 million

NIXON Hire, one of the UK’s leading plant and equipment hire firms, have invested in a fleet of more than 150 JCB Loadall telehandlers in a deal worth almost £9 million.

The machines, which will be delivered throughout 2015, have lift heights ranging from 7m to 17m and are powered by the fuel-saving JCB Ecomax Tier 4i engine, which has no requirement for costly diesel particulate filters or for exhaust after-treatment fluids, resulting in low-cost, efficient operation for customers.

The new fleet will go on hire across the UK, with several being used to stock Nixon Hire’s new, expanded depot in Glasgow, which opened at the start of the year – the first time the company has based plant and equipment for hire in the city; customers were previously serviced from depots in Edinburgh and Dundee.

Nixon Hire’s managing director, Graham Nixon, said: ‘JCB are one of the industry’s leading brands and one that is in high demand from our customers. It is important for us to supply equipment that end-users know and trust.

‘JCB Loadall telescopic handlers particularly appeal for their high level of safety features, familiarity for end-users and strong resale value. JCB have been our preferred supplier for telehandlers since 2006. We have a strong relationship with our local dealer, Scot JCB, who have an extensive network which mirrors and supports ours effectively.’
