Lafarge standing united at Ecobuild

Company’s three UK divisions to celebrate sustainability success in unique collaboration

TO celebrate the story of successful sustainability, Lafarge will bring together all three of their UK divisions at this year’s Ecobuild exhibition and conference event, which takes place from 1–3 March at ExCeL, London.

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the managing directors from the three business units at Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete (Emmanuel Rigaux, Aggregates; Jeremy Greenwood, Readymix; and Shaun Davidson, Asphalt & Contracting) will join their counterparts from Lafarge Cement (Dr Erdogan Pekenc) and Lafarge Plasterboard (Jean-Michel Desmoutier) to highlight how their vision focuses on keeping sustainability at the forefront of the business’ operations.

Felicity Jelly, marketing manager for Lafarge Readymix, part of Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete UK, said: ‘This will be a pioneering event for Lafarge in the UK. We will showcase how nature plays an essential role in our business, how it inspires us, motivates us and drives our commitment to supporting sustainable construction.’

The managing directors, together with other Lafarge experts, will be engaging openly with Lafarge’s partners, stakeholders and the whole Ecobuild community throughout the course of the 2011 show.

A key theme for the show will be how the company’s products and the commitment of employees are making a real contribution to reducing the environmental impact of Lafarge’s operations. The company will also unveil a uniquely designed sculpture to illustrate how it brings materials to life for a more sustainable future.
