Kiverco and Mick George shortlisted for National Recycling Award

Kiverco and Mick George shortlisted for National Recycling Award
Companies named finalists in the Business Partnership of the Year category at upcoming awards

MICK George and Kiverco have been shortlisted for the Business Partnership of the Year accolade at the 2017 National Recycling Awards (28 June). It is in recognition of Kiverco’s state-of-the-art recycling plant installed at Mick George’s St Ives site.

The waste-management firm approached Kiverco to design and manufacture a new recycling plant to meet the growing demand for its services. Restricted space at other sites and the need to efficiently sort material to achieve higher recovery rates prompted Mick George to find a sustainable solution to resolve these issues.

Kiverco, who are widely recognized for designing and manufacturing robust recycling plants, developed an equipment solution that is reliable and incorporated the very latest in sorting technology. The plant for Mick George maximizes recovery rates and utilizes all processed material in order to meet the goal of delivering zero waste to landfill.

John Lines, sales director for Kiverco, said: ‘We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. To be nominated with Mick George for this project underlines the work both companies have put into achieving a robust and modern facility.

‘From the outset, Mick George knew exactly what they wanted to achieve and through our extensive consultation process, we were able to ensure that we fully understood their needs and were able to incorporate these requirements into the final plant design, using some of the best available equipment.’

Michael George, contracts manager for Mick George, added: ‘It was critically important not only that our chosen supplier had the experience to design and build this plant, but that they were also willing to listen to what we wanted and then incorporate our requirements into the final plant design and build. I was confident that Kiverco could do this and I have not been disappointed.’
